As part of this year’s Masaryk University Staff Training Week, the Scientific Information Centre at ECON MUNI, representing the Masaryk University Libraries, took on the role of main organizer. We were delighted to welcome 11 international librarians from across Europe. We prepared a varied program with colleagues from other MU libraries that combined professional topics with leisure activities.

The week began with a session on Informational and Analytical Services at Masaryk University Libraries. In the afternoon, participants explored the city on a guided tour enriched by engaging historical insights from our colleagues at the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts.

On Tuesday, the focus turned to Research Data Management and the Promotion of Open Science. Participants also got to try out some of the technologies available in our makerspace.

Wednesday’s highlight was the shared dinner, but before that, we delved into Digital Information Tools for Libraries and visited the Central Library of the Faculty of Social Studies and the Teiresiás Support Centre Library.

Thursday was dedicated to Data Analysis and Visualization for Research Evaluation, with participants gaining hands-on experience in creating analytical dashboards for library services.

The week closed with a short session on The Future of Academic Libraries: A Collaborative Vision, followed by a final reflection and farewell.

We want to thank all the international librarians for joining us, and our colleagues from across MU libraries for their willingness to contribute to the program. Together, they helped create a week full of inspiration, knowledge sharing, and mutual enrichment.
